Whats the best way to ground you welder??????
I have a Miller 180SD and I have a problem with when I first start to weld or when the arc starts it sends a freq. through me electric in my house, puts like white lines across my tv,only when I first start the arc though, after that it's fine.
It should be already grounded really well, considering what it's pulling. Check your ground line to the main grounding rod.
That's the high frequency interference. You may not be able to avoid it. It's about like a hair dryer messing with the tv.
If you weld on AC, continuous high freq, it will likely mess up the tv during the entire weld.
If your machine has a frequency adjust dial, you may be able to change it a bit and decrease the effect it has on the tv. Other than that, virtually nothing short of lead sheets on your walls is going to do much good.

does the machine offer the ability to start the arc with a lift start v. high frequency. my machine has this feature.
