Having problems starting my eg rite now,see to me that everytime i start it it doesn't turn over it just ticks once. Theres a braid line that ties into the fuel fiter and than goes to the intake manifold. Sometimes that line sparks off the passenger engine mount. So im thinkin that,the line is live when im tryin to start it. If you play around with the braid line it sometimes starts. What could be my problem...

My friend recently had the same problem. We swapped starters and it was still no good. We looked at the grounds and they looked all messed up/corroded. We cleaned them and it worked. Hasn't had a problem since.

Well i put a new starter in it like a few days ago and it worked,but its weird it works sometimes and other times i have to play with this braid line. The other thing that isn't rite is that my stereo harness isn't getting anypower either,can't hook up my stereo up.. Check all fuses and everything but still nothing. do you know how to work a wire testing and wat setting to put it on to see if there power coming from the wires???

Well i think i figured it out. This braid line that T's off my fuel line is ran to under my intake manifold. Well im pretty sure that the line is sprayin fuel to the intake manifold as well as the fuel rail. I also think that for some reason that the braid line has some sort of charge to it when i try to start my car bc it sparks off the engine mount and it leaves mark where ive noticed it. So if i take out that line and plug the spot under neath the intake manifold ,will that harm it at all??
