Anybody know how far off the stock tach is at idle?

 

I have noticed about -100 rpm's. Set it at an indicated 750-800 for your idle.

really depends. mine is at 300 at near vtec area and 600 at redline

 

If yours is off by 600 rpms at redline, your car has problems.

 

not really honda Tachs and speedos aren't really that accurate lol i can go into slightly into redline and still be climbing so i've not his 8400 RPMs yet so its definatly off. just honda for ya

 

When I told them to take it to an indicated 8K for my dyno pulls, it showed it to be actually closer to 7900 rpms.

that's the itr tach for ya. once i find money and a cheap half decent tach (anyone wanna see me a defi, autometer or apex'i tach for less than a bill shippped?) i'm gonna get it. So tired of reading the wrong rpms.
