Ok im buying a 90 crx wwith a b16. Im going to go check it out on wednesday. my question is he told me that it starts and everything but that it wont go into gear. He told me that either he needs a 91 integra clutch cable or he put the bearing thats in the clutch assembly backwards. Does any of that sound right? If its the bearing I can fix that and if its the clutch cable I'll use one I got. thanx

 

I would be very skeptical. I would say that you would buy it only if he turns that bearing around, then sold it to you. I had a CRX with a b16, and I used the stock clutch cable, so that answer is BS.

 

It shifts when the car is off but when you turn it on it wont go into gear. Ive been told by others it could be the clutch assembly installed wrong, the shift lincage wasnt done for a crx or that the clutch cable is wrong.

it could be your linkage is setup wrong so its not getting the full pull to let the cluch go into gear when running so just adjust that

 

how wouldyou adjust that?

 

Whats the clutch feel like? My clutch was really tough to push in when i had my d16 and sometimes the car wouldnt go into gear because the clutch would not be dissengaging. It turned out to be the pressure plate was toast. I was also told that it may have been the main bearings or something like that. but replacing the clutch and pressure plate solved the problem. as for the cable, if there is resistance, and u can feel the clutch disengaging, than it doesnt matter what cable you use, as long as it gets the job done. o and btw, u use ur stock crx/civic clutch cable with swapped b16 motors.

 

Well its a new exedy clutch stage one so maybe the bearing or something.

 

It had no oil in it....would that keep it from shifting....it was bone dry.

 

ok now car wont start. I put everything back together and now the check engine light wont flash when ignition on. Car doesnt start and I checked main relay everything looks good. Maybe a ground or what?

 

i had the same problem it turns out that i messed up and bought the wrong clutch kit ( i kno im an idiot ) but i bought an act for a 90-91 integra and everything works fine now

 

car wont start...check engine light and ecu dont turn on . engine turns over. checked main relay everything good and ecu is good

yes!!!! Ok I looked around at the starter and distributor and noticed a 3 wire ground that comes from the wiring to the distributor and is supose to bolt to the starter....hooked that up and got power to the ecu and everything. Now there is no spark. Checked for power on the two pin connector on the distributor...have power. I also have a code 15 on my pw0 ecu. no signal im guessin...anyone have a wiring diagram to the ecu pinouts they can send to me? cryinryan2798@yahoo.com thanx!
