Default Rockford sub and amp install

2 rockford 12s and a 900 watt amp. need some help on the install. 96 civic hx. subs already set in the box and ready to go. problem i have is supposedly u need a switch to plug into the rem terminal, otherwise it'll just sit there and run ur battery down, true or false? also i need to know how to remove the panel on the floor next to the seat so i can run my power cable back to the amp. im assuming it just clips cuz i dont see any screws but i dont wanna pry the **** off and break somethin. and to bridge the connection between the subs i just run the wire from one + to the other then to the amp, and repeat with the - right? this is my first so any input will help, thanks.

For the remote, you will have to runa wire to the harness of the cd player. It tells it to turn on when the stereo is on. As for the side trim, take the kickpanel off, unbolt the seatbelt, then it sould just pop up. If you are using an 8ga eventhough I recommend a 4ga, you should be able to squeeze it under the bottom the the trim. As for your last question I am not sure what you want with the wording. Do you want to bridge the amp or wire the subs in series/parallel?

With that amp you will be fine with 8 ga. But if you go bigger in the future, I would go with a 4 ga. The wire can handle the power better, but I doubt you will get 900W outta that amp. For series and parallel, it configures the ohms of the subwoofer to change the power handling. If you have 4ohm SVC (single voice coil) subwoofers if you wire them in parallel then will be rated together at 2 ohms and if they are in series they will be at 8 ohms. Wiring them in parallel will give you more power, but that is only if the amp can handle 2ohms. In order to wire them like this, connect (-) amp to (-) sub 1, then from (-) sub one to (-) sub to. And the same for the positive. Now if you wire them in series you will go (-) amp to (-) sub one and (+) amp to (+) sub 2. Then you will connect the (+,-) from sub one and sub two together.

Just make sure you know what the ohm rating is on the subs and the amp.

Here I just remembered this after i typed all that...
