quick question: ITR timing belt/water pump, are they the same as civic SI model?
i am going to change my timing belt and water pump but a friend of mine has business account with HONDA so i was just wondering if the B16s are using the same one's as B18C5???
by the way, do i also need to get the tensioner pulley and tensioner spring to complete the job??
I always thought B18C1 is the same as B18C5 but on http://www.prostreetonline.com...acura/
prostreet kit they use different part# that really confused me.. come someone please help me out~
thank you

You can look up Acura part numbers on the Delray Acura website. Maybe you can ask on the Civic forum where to look up Honda part numbers, and then compare the two.
It would be a good idea to change the tensioner and spring which happen to be the same on the b16.
The ITR timing belt and water pump are different though.

i think the difference is that the itr waterpump is has a larger diameter t-belt gear with more teeth on it so it underdrives the waterpump, most likely because of the higher redline of the motor but the b16 pump i think is different in more than that way.
also it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the camseals and the crankseal while your in there, especially if the car has 100k or more miles on it.

I decided to go with prostreet kit which is way cheaper and i will for sure remember to replace the camseals and the crankseals

I'm sure the prostreet kit is fine but I personally would just have gotten OEM HONDA parts.

b16a and b18/b16b timing belts are different, the b18 one being longer. i would get engine specific belt and pump.
