if i were to get a tanabe rm muffler plus pipping would i get the same amount of performance gain that i would get from purchasing a full tanabe rm exhaust. Reason im askin is i heard u could get pipping for about a 100 bucks and the muffler for about a 100. And the full exhaust cost around 500! (could save 300). Thanks!

 

No the Tanabe RM muffler is alot more than $100. If you're N/A just get the full system, but if you're turbo and want a custom fabricated 3" system, then get the custom exhaust made for your car. But an APEXi 3" N1 turbo muffler would be a better choice than the RM.

 

I am using an ITR muffler with a custom made 2.5" pipe for $70. Why pay over $500 for a full catback?

 

The TanabeRM is kind of restrictive for a Turbo if you use the Tanabe piping. If you need 3" piping (IE: Turbo) then have a shop do it, or buy an N1.
