Si or keep the teg
i have a 2000 ls integra with exhaust, intake, and a few others things. i'm thinking about getting a new Civic SI because the car is new and i dont want to dump alot of money into the teg. is the civic si worth to buy? should i jsut keep the integra for a while
SI>>>LS if it was a GSR I would keep the teg. SI very nice int. and with a drop and OEM R kit looks pretty sick. It also has a pretty solid 2.0 that does well with boltons. My friend owns the EP3 and I've grown to really like the car.
Not only could it be a coupe, but the hp is supposed to go up quite a bit. Rumors of the first gen rsx motor to be put in! I would wait a little longer. We're supposed to see the new Si later this year, so I would wait, AND if there's not a big change then get the 05 Si because prices will drop big time. happens every time a newer model of the same car comes out.

I already placed my order for a 2005 Civic Si and received a call yesterday confirming the VIN number. She will be leaving the Swindon Plant in England soon, and should be state-side by mid-February. It's Taffeta White w/side airbags.
I know the hatchback design is not a favorite amongst the majority out there, but if this is a car you like, my suggestion is to get one now while you can. I looked at several different options within Honda's (Civic Coupe Ex, Accord Coupe V6 6-speed w/Navi), Acura's (RSX type-S, TSX), and Toyota's (Celica GT-S, Solara SE Sport), but in the end, the Civic Si was my choice. Unlike many, I am happy with everything it has to offer (exterior/interior design, layout, hp rating, and especially the high-mounted shifter). Since I am not going to make any modifications, the way the Si arrives from the factory, is the way she's going to stay.
Whatever the reasons for lack-of-sales, it is obvious there aren't many Sis out there, nor are there many being produced - I for one, like that. If you are happy with what the car has to offer right out of the box (without thousands of dollars in mind for upgrades), get it! Also, there was only one recall on the Si, and the only issue with that was to change a washer on the belt buckle, if necessary. If you purchase a new one, this will already have been addressed. The irony here is, once the '05 Civic Si is gone for good (this is the last model year for the hatchback), everyone will suddenly want what they can no longer get. Also, the ones who say they don't like it, after seeing it up front and personal, it suddenly grows on them.
Cars are emotional buying experiences... if the '05 Si hatchback doesn't stir you for what it has to offer, then don't do it! However, despite all the postings and spy shots of the rumored Si Coupe for '06, if the '05 Si hatchback does appeal to you (and is what you want) then by all means get one and enjoy it like I soon will!
Whatever your decision, all the best...

ive had my EP3 for 2 weeks and totally love it. yeah, i didnt like the car all that much when it first came out, but as some time has gone by, the model grew on me and now i own one. the low number of production is another reason i love it. having a car that you dont see everywhere you look adds to the fun factor for me and i can overlook some of the downsides that many other people see.
I really enjoy my Si and I happen to like the hatch, I didnt want to waite for the Si to go back to the coupe. I think bang for the buck they are a great car. I have had mine for about 6 weeks now and can tell you with just a little tuning in the suspension and some better tires this car will be an even bigger blast to drive! There are also some great bolt ons, all the way up to the Jackson race supercharger, which with the tuning can produce 220ish whp.

Although the EP3 Si is ugly and one of the most unpopular Hondas ever sold in USDM, I think that when you drive it you will see that it offers significant improvements in design and driveability over your G3 Integra.
