ok, I have the know how, the tools, and the time to do it....I'm just a newb when it comes to honda engines. would it be cheaper to just buy the pieces of a B16 engine and put it together than buy one, take it apart and put new internals in it...
my ultimate goal with this project is turbo... so instead of replacing pieces to make the engine more durable I was thinking why not just buy what I want from the start instead of replacing...
is my goal here clear?
any comments would be greatly appreciated...

 

ide buy a whole motor, and replace it peice by peice. you can always sell the old parts or keep them as back up.

i would get a bare b16 block..you can prob get it for cheap..and then piece it together...low compression pistons...rods..block guard..head studs etc etc....thats just my opinion though

 

yeah.. the whole thing just sounds like it'd be easier to do... like replacing the pistons.. while everything is apart..
