Assuming I want a sleeved block....
This would be the plan. Get a used b16a or used b18c shortblock or longblock, if I can find one cheap enough this summer and get it sleeved. In the mean time drive my car with stock block and drag 3 low boost, around 6-8 psi with hondata 3b. Once the built block is done(money dependent) install that into my car, and run more boost.
Question is: Gen 1 b16a blocks are cheap as hell, 2nd gen more. Does it really make a difference to get a b16a gen 1 or gen 2 block?? I know the gen 2 has a better head, but I don't need a head, I just need a block. Any downsides to a gen 1 block?
Thanks,
-Levi

If you are talking about just the bare blocks, they are pretty much the same thing. The difference b/t the 1st and 2nd gen b16s are the mostly internals(eg pistons). The 2nd gen B16's heads are alot better then the 1st gen.
