if ur on a budget try the neuspeed s/s....a lot of ppl said it works great and have no complaints, i've read that the dc has actually snapped in half and is very poor quality, while the b&m is notchy and rattles like a mofu

Engine mount inserts and shifter bushings (Energy Suspension in my case, 50$ max).

I'm quite happy with the way it's worked out, and don't really see the need for a "short shift kit" in my R.

try the neuspeed or skunk shifters. A friend of mine actually did snap the DC in half several times. I've had the dc in my car for 2 years and its been okay. Then again I don't shift as hard as he does

C's is the best, hands down.

Do a search, or ask kengs on this board.

~$300, though..... Well worth it, imho.

I considered doing this mod. Does anyone know if it is true the downpipe has to be dropped in order to change the shifter?

C's Is VERY High quality and feels great. For most people I would suggest switching out the Bushings first, I like Mugens over Energy suspensions etc because Mugen comes with 3 bushings not 2

I've done this to my Si and now my R. procedures are the same. I used the instructions from the site below and they don't require dropping the pipe. very simple install after you do it the first time.
