Remove 98 hatch grill
how do you remove the grill without removing the bumper? how many screws are there and where are they located? also does anyone know is the grill that comes off a 98 dx hatch a 1 or 2 piece grill?
The DX is a 2 piece, and it is practically impossible to remove the grill without removing the bumper. There are like 4 screws holding it on and they are just below the grill. I could take off 2 bumpers and grills and reinstall them before someone could take off 1 grill while on the car.
Well every bumper is different. On mine I have a phillips head screwdriver on one side and then a nut and bolt on the other side. My friends has zip ties on one side.
What you could do is just take off one side, then remove all the screw/clips on the radiator support and then slide the bumper over to 1 side.(the side that you didnt remove the fastener from) and then take off the grill.
So you WILL need a phillips head screwdriver, but I dont know how the sides of your bumper are held.
