IM still tryin to get a grasp of this reflash thing. Is it basically just a whole new computer for your car or do you send it out to get reprogrammed? Is this the type of thing you tell the manufacturer what kind of mods your running and they tune it to your specific set up?

Sorry for hijacking with a couple questions hella good numbers have fun with her.

yeah the reflash is car specific. from hondata you send them your ecu they reflash it to your specs and send it back. you can do a few different things with most flashes. you tell them what mods you have, and you can also keep the stock redline or increase the redline. with my rsx i had it flashed so vtec engaged at 5100 instead of 5800(stock), and my redline is now 8600 instead of 8000(stock)

ok so im gonna join this convo too if u dont mind. Now increasing the redline to 8600, is that necesary? If you have stock internals? Do you take it up to 8600 or still shift at the stock 8000.. like do you make more power past the 8K mark?

and IM assuming this is a different setup then the K-Pro. How does this differ from that?

Also price difference? very nice #'s. i'll be picking a type s up soon and w/ my tax money im deciding which ecu to get. cuz im gonna pick up a header too. so i need price estimates. haha

well it doesnt make power much past 8k as you can see on the dyno graph. however if you shift that high, it keeps the revs up higher in the power for the next gear. on stock internals it can handle it without any problems, its only raising it 500rpm. k-pro you can tune with a laptop, the flash you can not tune. flash costs $600, k-pro costs $1000. hope that helped.
