Is there any pressure coming from the oil return line in the turbo?
I am trying to decide the proper Earls' fittings to go with my oil return line. Alot of people here suggest size AN 10 which equal out to be around 1/2. The shop where I can get it locally stock mostly AN 08 which is about 3/8. Will the oil in the turbo back up and causes to burn oil if I use the AN 08?
No real pressure (other than gravity and the weight of the oil). U don't want oil backing up on you so that's why the larger diameter is more effective. U can even do this with plain old hi-temp black hose although the braided is sweet.
don't use the black hose. . .mine hit the downpipe. . .made a whole. . .hehehehe that sucked. . .I used a 1.2 brass fitting from a hydrolic store with a steel braided line. . .works for me. ..good luck.
