Zeal B2 vs B6
alright alright. i know this question has been asked before but i have found B2's for 1099 and B6's for 1799. This is a big difference in price. so i just want to make sure i know what the other 700 dollars are for ( and yes the B2's were on sale normally 1399 ) both have shock and height adjustablity. but what are the other differences?
the B2's have a 38mm piston vs. 42mm on the B6. the B6 also is lower perch height adjustable, which basically allows you to lower your car without compromising suspension travel. They both have the same spring rates- 12k/8k They both have 6 way adjustable damping. where did you find those prices at?

I was under the impression that the B6 was made of a different material for the shock body (?), and that the "piston stroke" length was adjustable (not the lower spring perch).
Sounds like a nice set-up (B6).

i'm pretty sure Mike up above can get a deal on them
First of all I lied thier not 1099 for the B2 there 1069. my bad. http://www.endless-sport.com/special.htm Althought i don't think this includes the pillow mounts. I emailed these guys like 4 days ago and haven't gotten a reply back. ( specifics of price i.e. what for what ) i will post it as soon as i get a reply. the other price was from http://www.modacar.com/honda/framese...over_honda.htm and the corrected price was 1720 for the B6, again i am not sure if this includes the pillow mounts.
Question... Sus tech used to make a LCA for the EF that would lower the car with any including stock springs. would the B6 feature be similar to this. Meaning that the strut mount would lower. lowering the car without the help of springs. Are there any other info needed before i purchase one? Finally how big of a difference is 38mm to 42mm. I mean 4mm is a 1.8L or a 2.0L and that is hugh difference.

would the B2s for he EK-4 fit on a DB8?
Don't think so as I had a set of Teins on my EK that couldn't fit on my DB8. Had to use the ones for the EG platform.
Got a set of Tein HA's (http://www.tein.co.jp/hadamp2h.html). Can't remember the spring rates tho. My buddy in the same car got a set of the RA's (http://www.tein.co.jp/radamp2h.html).
i think their 10k and 6k. still damn good but i want the pillow mounts so the zeal come out a couple bucks cheaper. But otherwise i would just get a set of tein HAs
I think both the B2 and B6 come w/ metal upper mounts (actually, I think all Zeal's do). Didn't IPS and R&D have the B6's on sale for like $1695 or something?...if they still have that, that's a good price. I personally like the adjustable lower collar of the B6's. LIke stated above, you can lower you car w/o compromising shock travel (a very nice thing on the street!!) and you can also corner weight w/o having variances in shock travel in the different corners. The Zeal rep I spoke to before also told me that the B6 has more aggressive valving then the B/B2. HTH.
Not to sound like a complete rice boy. But how much of a drop can be made with the B2 and B6. Are we talking like 2 inches or are 3 inches + possible also with the upper pillow mounts can the camber be adjusted to compinsate a 3 inch drop. ( on my deffence i have an EF and a 3 inch drop barely tucks the tires, and looks sweet when the camber isnt set to 6 degrees )
No one makes adjustable camper upper mounts for the civics/tegs cuz camber can't be adjusted via the upper mounts due to the suspension design. The fronts must be adjusted via the upper A-arm and the rears via the upper control arm. As for lowest drop, you could do about 3" with either, but I don't think you'd want to w/ the B2's cuz they don't have adjustable shock lengths, so you're gonna lose a ton of stroke. That'll feel really bad on the road (dampers react differently the more you compress them and the less travel they have) and you might even bottom out the damper which could damage some internals. If you really wanna go that low, then get the B6's cuz they have adjustable shock body lengths.
