Default Building GSR motor, have questions

I'm building a GSR motor, I know what I'm going to do for the most part, but I have some questions. I want to be able to push a 9.5redline, which stage skunk2 cam would best suit power up to 9.5, but will still have a decent idle. Stage 1,2 or 3? Also are the skunk2 rockers worth it? I would also like to know where I can get an LSD for the GSR tranny. Let me know, thanks.

Because I used to have a JDM H22 in my civic and the high revs are rediculously entertaining. Plus I want it to scream.

Are you going to be boosting it or are you going to keep it all motor? What kind of power are you looking to make? The ITR LSD holds some thing like 250whp, that could be good enough for you if you are going to be all motor. For the cams, prolly stage 2, but i would think about going with ITR cams. High RPMs is very enertaining.

It's going to be an all-motor 12.0:1+ compression, I don't want to go ITR or CTR cams because they don't have any power at 8+RPM. I want to get somewhere around 250/300 whp and I'm keeping my GSR tranny and buying an aftermarket LSD, maybe you guys could help me with brands too.

I know it's not going to be easy, but I'm sending out my head and block to be built and ported and blueprinted. Plus I'm not totally engine retarded... it's just which types of brands are best for what and can handle what is what I don't know too much about.

The block comes from Honda already balanced and blueprinted. To go all motor I would go with a set of good Eagle rods and CP or JE pistons. Get a ACT Prolight Flywheel and clutch. Take all of your rotating assembly to a well known machine shop and have it balanced. Have your head ported, polished and gasket matched. I'd go with springs and retainers from Rocket Motorsports and if you use them I would also go with there cams. As for an LSD I would be hard pressed not to go with a JDM ITR tranny. It comes with an LSD and has very short gears. That should get you started thinking. The best thing to do is to e-mail some major companys and ask them what they would do.

I would also bring your power goals down a little. 250whp what almost be where I would think a daily driven all motor car could do. I have a Buddy that is making 220whp from his b18c1. He has 12.5:1 comp pistons, eagle rods, ITR tranny and ITR valvetrain w/ TODA spec b cams.

What car is your set up going in? What are you going to be doing with it (SCCA, Drag Racing, ect)? Hope this helps a bit, I am an FI guy so I don't know a whole lot about the specifics about what setups work for all motor apps.

250-300 horsepower is gonna be very difficult to acheive. you're gonna need a complete skunk 2 valve train, cams, 5 angle head job. Ported & polished head, manifold, throttle body, etc... VERY high compression pistons, Upgrade your fuel system, bigger pulleys, after market head gasket for higher compression, polished crank, complete msd upgrade, take out p/c & a/c, SI tranny, weight reduction, tires, suspension, and driving skills-dats 10 hp
