I was wondering the same thing because they have like 11 of these events and would be great for seat time.

Just went to the site and it looks like it's mostly muscle cars from the list of cars in the results from earlier this year. There having one Saturday that I might go check out to see what there like.

Haven't been to one yet, but based on how everyone in this forum is more of a head's up type drag racer, I would have to guess that there aren't very many imports. Also, based on the classes that an import would compete in, you would just be lumped in with any other car based on ET. Kind of similar to what Pomona used to have- the Street Legal fun drags- I didn't race an import the whole weekend.

As for seat time I'm sure that you would get atleast two time trials, but don't expect to last very long in elims- most of the drivers are bracket racing veterans- in other words their cars are dialed in to the 100ths, their reactions are down to the .01x's and they carry around those weather devices that help them decide whether to dial up or down a .001 second

But I do know that they award Wally's a couple of the races per year.

I wish NHRA still had the sport compact event there. Very nice track and well prepped.

yeah that track is the ****. when i snapped an axle, i hopped out and a couple friends helped push the car, our shoes got stuck you had to curl your tows just to walk so your shoes wouldnt come off. tight track.

Ive been there for the Wednesday night drags. If you get there early you can get two practice runs and then however long you can last with the bracket racing. But honestly I think bracket racing is lame.

Bracket racing might not be the best but seat time is seat time and it all helps in the long run.

Yeah, I think that most people are just looking for seat time. But at infineon, you only get two practice runs in and then if you get eliminated in bracket racing your night is over.

Yeah but this weekend in trophy you can race for $20 so three runs isn't that bad compared to last weekend $40 at CMI for the same three runs.

i was there on the 17th for the bracket drags. fog didn't let us start practice runs til 11am. Got in 2 practice runs before elims started. Mostly muscle cars and full drag cars. Hardly any imports. But still a good crowd. Lots of cool people there.
I'm thinking if racing had started on time (they said it usually starts at 8am) I would've gotten more runs in. The guy I talked to on the phone said you usually get 3 practice runs before elims.
If the weather cooperates, I'll be there on Saturday. I'm still getting used to my car (only been to the track twice), so I like going for the seat time. Run in Trophy Class - $20 and most of the racing veterans are in the cash-winning categories (Sportsman, Pro, etc).

Just make sure everything on your car is legall. They arn't as lenient as sac is. I herd times are slower there too. Something to do with the track being uphill

at the top end of the track when its windy you run straight into a strong head wind thats what slows the cars down sometimes put you'll get some of the best 1/8 mile times you'll see.
