Wierd Electrical problem?

Default Wierd Electrical problem?

Hello,

I am having a wierd problem, I have a 94 civic Sedan and whenever I hit the brake (every other time) the Stereo, Gauge cluster, and clock, short out. Im really confused on whats wrong.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

i could be wrong but sounds like you have a bad ground or something maybe wrong with that fuse..could be loose or something...

ouch..try the relay..got sum'n like this where my dash lighing and corner lights go on likem 3 mins later after the headlights...think its the cold

make sure no wires are touching brake pedal arm when pushed down.

Same thing happend to me earlier this week. It turned out that i had tapped a wire into one of my corner lights for something and ended up not using it. Well it grounded off in the engine bay causing my cluster lights and tail lights to go out. Hope this helps.

Ok no wires are touching the brake when I push in, and I cant find any grounded wires.

This has really confused me. Because when I push in the brake the stuff shorts out then comes right back on.

i had the same exact problem when i had my 90 crx. i hit a patch of ice and hit a large boulder in someone's yard bashing in the front. It was still driveable and the entire way home everytime i stepped on the brake the same things would happen.

it turned out that the horn wires were crushed grounding it to the frame. cut the wires and reinstalled the new horn and fixed..
Does your horn work? Even if it does try disconnecting it and go for a ride..
