Default ?? about all hondas

Does taking off the resonator to the intake effect the engine in any way and if it does is it good or bad or does it not do anything but make the intake make more noise??

Yes, removing the resonator will help the engine breathe a bit better.

No, removing it won't harm anything. The resonator is there to reduce the noises that the other 99.9 % of the population would complain about.
