i love the EK look... i like the EG hatch.

what would be better for a person about to buy their first car?

post from experience?

pros? cons?

any help would be appreciated

EK, i have an EG, but i wanted to buy an EK because of the front end is hawwt, and the rear taillights looks sick. But i cant complain, i got my EG for 1400 bux with 95,000 miles on it!! used to be GREEN, had VX wheels on it.. this is what it looks like now..

 

i have an eg also and hands down the EK is way sexier

does anyone know which yr or model of the EGs came with AC? and at what year did the power door and windows become standard?

 

Its all up to what you like...I think there are more available parts for the eg as you can use almost everything from a dc in an eg, plus the whole obd1 versus obd2 thing.

 

obd1 = waaaaay easier to work with.

 

i was looking around and found alot of parts for the EK also, but anyways im sure parts for both parts are in abundance.

The EK is wider longer stiffer and more stable and safer. The EG is the EG

The EK is a better car hands down but for some people the EG is classic

my first car as an ej6. but it all depends on what you like. i dont like threads like this because all it does is get EG/EK lovers in here telling you to get this or that.also tell us more about what you are looking for. you using it for a daily driver? how much is in your budget? im guessing your maybe around 16-18 because you said its your first car sooo....get the eg pocket the money you save and buy a swap.

 

i like th ek hatch, but IMO the eg hatch is better

 

EF haha...whatever one u like better, i like the EG, but the EK is nice too, hell i like all hatches!

 

Still wish I would have got an EK when I had the chance, but now I am mostly happy with my EP3.

 

I'd take the EK over the EG.

imo i like the eg...i just like the body style alot more
