Default Cruise control slow response

When the cruise is engaged it's response time to decelerate is VERY SLOW!

Example:

When on the highway and I start climbing an incline it kicks in fine and accelerates, but as I start going back down hill the car keeps accelerating (as if I was still climbing) to as much as 15mph over the set cruising speed before it releases the throttle.

Please help me trouble shoot this. Anyone ever encounter this before??

I would like to be able to use mine, especially since my wife is the primary driver of the car.

spray some wd-40 or add some grease to the coil on the throttle body. grime and gunk could b causing resistance.

just my guess... but nonetheless, ihaterice i stole your picture, ill take it down if you wish. heres the link for his thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1091009

if it was a dirty coil wouldn't that affect the gas pedal when the curise is not engaged also?

Lubing the rotor isnt going to do much. lol

Mine is the same way, I just assume the CC controls suck and I brake manually, then hit resume.

Well it isn't supposed to be this way, mine just started doing it, and I plan on repairing it.

Don't you guys care enough about your cars to keep them repaired and maintained?
