Chipped p28 or p72 for GSR
I got a OBD-I GSR swap and i need a ECU. Should i get a p28, chip it and use that or just run the stock p72. With the p28 i know i wouldn't have to wire up the knock sensor, can you still run the p28 and use the IAB's ? If i should use the p28 what chip should i get ? Thanks.
ive ran the gsr with/ without the iab's, and with both a p28 and a p72. i reccomend using the p72 and wire the iab's, unless you get a skunk2/aebs/jg........... intake manifold. its how it is designed to run.
Is it worth the investment to get the skunk2 manifold ? Any real gains from running the skunk2 and a chipped p28 ? Will it hurt the car to run a p28 without the knock sensor hooked up ?
search for info on the IM mani. My buddy has a GSR, ANR mani and JDM ITR ECU and its a real nice set up.
