I've been really debating whether or not to get a set of "JDM" Yellow headlights. I know this topic has been covered before but reading all the posts I did not see any valid and technical opinions that will persuade me from getting them.

I would like to know what you think and give us a valid and thorough explanation.
And hit my Poll.

edited: What I meant about "Yelloe headlights" are yellow bulbs. I wanted people's opinions on how they perform based on their experiences.
The whole rice issue is just another term in this forum as expressing that they are useless and only for looks w/o function. My whole basis on buying these are based on performance ,sorry about the confusion.

What do you mean yellow headlights? Yellow bulbs or are you planning on spraying the headlight lens transparent yellow? Either way it's "ugly" not necessarily "rice". Maybe pics would help?

I think it would suck *** to drive aroudn and everthing looks yellow then stock headlamps, I prefer as white of light as possible, Yellow light just annoys the hell outta me. Everthing looks yellow i prefer to see the true colors.

 

If you want yellow headlights, move to Japan.

They are nice imo.

Why would you care if they are rice?

 

Most of the coatings you see on hooked up cars are there for track-duty, as the film that you see (yellow, blue, smoked, etc.) is a heavy-plastic compound that keeps rocks from destroying glass headlamps on the road course. Other people do it because they think it looks cool.

The latter group are ricers.

 

I don't care for them at all. I would say they are necessarily rice but they are not "nice".

 

do whatever you want.. who cares if h-t thinks youre cool or not for having them.

 

i seen acouple cars with yellow headlights i dont care what noone says they look pimp! hashback_00 has yellow city lights PIMP! people think jdm is just the bare min. but there is things that the "jdm" people have on their cars that everyone here considers rice.. i say u get them depending on ur car and where you live.. hahah cuz u will get a ticket quick "yellow means slow"

its just a lightbulb it wouldnt really matter cuz you can swap then out whenever you want to

 

call me rice, so what... i did this over a year ago, and i still think it looks good. it really offsets my front end and separates it from all other civic's. it only appears yellow during the day time. at night, the lights shine pure white..

 

If you like it then do it, who cares?
