arospeed coilovers????
for the people that used arospeed coilovers or experienced it before. does it ride good? some guy at a shop told me tat if its drop above 3 inches then it will ride smooth. i know its a cheap name brand and i get wat i pay for but i was just wondering. thanks.
arospeed coilover arent very good, any coilovers on the market can lower your car up to 3 inches. I personally wouldnt go with them, I would wait till you have enough money for some skunk2 or ground controls

In my experience, all these coilovers from arospeed to skunk2 feel the same. If your gonna drop your car your ride will be bouncy or harsh, no way to get around it. Theres no one coilover better than the rest, its only the springs that come with it whether they are softer or stiffer. The best way to go is full coilovers, not just the sleeves.
this is for everyone that is slamming arospeed and tenzo:
do you have or have had those products and are speaking from experience? or is it just cooler to say get D&G over wal-mart clothes???
I could care less about any of these products but dont say get skunk just to say it.

My friend installed a set of aerospeed springs in somekids car and i got to test it out compared to my 98 civic coupe with GC's and stockstrut, the aerospeeds were 100% pure crap (on a 2001 si with stock struts)
I think Arospeed is perfectly fine for what they are worth.. Arospeed coilovers by the way lower you car 4". Anyhow we installed a set of Springs on my friends 240SX S13 from arospeed and i was surprised how stiff they are..Even with the shocks set at the lowest setting they where stiff..By the way if you are installing coilover sleeves or springs on a car with stock shocks don't expect much difference, IN case you didn't know the Shock is what adds the stiffness not the spring.
Juss saw my friends car which had arospeed springs now (Ground Control)
"Springs started to sag so I had to get new ones" <---arospeed
I also know a kid that works at arospeed and he doesn't even use their performance products on his car. I wonder why?

what is this kids name cause i know a couple guys that work over there, and about the arospeed coilovers this is the thing i own an IS300 with tein ha's which were about 1200 bucks i also have a 94 hb with a set of ground controls, and i recently acquired a 92 cx and i'm looking for a set of coilovers myself, but my point is that coilovers are meant to adjust the height of the car,the tein's are a fully threaded coilover those things are a pain in the *** to adjust and they are supposed to be one of the coilovers systems out there, and on the hb with the ground controls are easy as hell to adjust and they are 4 times cheaper than the tein's,my point is don't knock something you don't or haven't had,i've heard alot of people say skunk2's are crap they are to bouncy of course they are to bouncy they have high spring rates, yeah the gc's ride good cause they are 350's in the front and 250's in the rear now the arospeeds are 450's in the front and 350's in the rear which is a good spring rate just like the skunk2's,sorry for ranting on just got carried away, just get them for the money you can't beat it
Just dropping some pennies in the bucket. Buddy of mine has a 00 Si. Put Arospeed's on. Rode increadibly bouncy with stock struts. Changed to Ground Control's on stock struts. Rode amazingly close to stock. By the way the arospeeds were on for almost a year and they were locked in place. We hit that thing with penatrating lube, strong bars everyting and couldn't brake em. Now has Tokiko blue's on there and rides awsome and handles considerbly better. I also have a friend with a 5th gen hatch that has KYB AGX's and ground control's. Ride's very nice...for now, getting 300lb springs up front and 600lb in the rear. That should be different.
I have ground-control's on right now w/ stock struts, 195/50/15 pirelli p700z's on flat black gsr 6-spokes with no other sus upgrades and the handling is par. luckily my braking system is finished and sus is next on the list. good luck man.
