Default Gsr head, Cam journal damage

Well I bought a gsr head from someone off the internet and it looked very clean and in pretty good shape. It was assembled so I couldn't inspect the head very well. The head was very clean so I bought it. After removing the cam caps and cams I found the bad news. Looks like the guy I bought the head from ran the engine dry. There are deep grooves in the cam journals and in the caps. And there is aluminum stuck to the cams from the journals. Also there are grooves on the rockers. Has anyone had this problem before? Should I spend the $ to have the cam bores aligned? This sucks.

I can't get ahold of the guy or I would get my money back. This is why I hate buying things off the internet. I have been screwed soo many times. It's not like I got this head at a discounted price either.

Thanks. Me too. So has anyone had this problem before and had it fixed? Hope I'm not out of my $400 dollars that I spent on this head. Next time I buy parts I'm going to be more cautious and inspect everything.
