Default shocks on my "on" my hatch

My shocks that open my hatch (96 civic) are shot. Where can I find these shocks other than OEM. Honda is around 75 bux a shock, are there other options that may be cheaper? Please help. Thx

Lol i don't think he's talking bout those kind of shocks. I think he means the ones that help lift the rear hatch up. Try a junk yard and see how much they sell them for thats all i could think of. Or...... if you have a friend thats a mechanic they get discount at the dealership, autozone prolly carrys them also (betting its a life time warranty also hehe) .

*thank god my cousin works at honda i get it for the whole sale price HAHAHA *

what about those new hood opener shock things? sorry for my lack of technical wording but thats the best I can describe them.

EDIT: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1096809

but they are $169 shipped if they'd even work.

Have a link for that? I'm missing a shock as well so I'm also looking into the alternatives.
