how do you take off the axel?

I just went in there with a pickle fork and pryed it loose. you could probably pry it with a screw driver... Once you move it a little bit, it'll come out easily from there and u can just pull it out with ur hand.

that works well.i usually use a small prybar,and it works great.

yeah make sure you pry it out with something and dont just yank it out because you can hyper extend the axle then it will be useless. Not so bad because you need a new one anyways but i think if you return it from where you buy the new one you get some money back. dont know if they will take a hyper extended one or not but good luck anyways.
