so i went for a quick spin around the block and i got a CEL, now there is a little red light in my ecu that is blinking (4 short) would this be a code 4? if so then thats the crank angle sensor, could this be my problem? how much on average is it to replace? thanks in advance guys!

 

Yes that is code 4 and the crank angle sensor is in the distributor. Offhand I don't know how much they are...sorry

 

i noticed that my distributor is making a wierd knocking sound, possibly related? i know my friend had to replace on in his EK awhile back. and when i take it to the shop which one should the shop order? i have a JDM gen 1 B16A, so would one for an DA GSR work? thanks

 

No you need an OBD0 B16a distributor which are tough to find...try http://www.distributorking.com

The DA GSR will not work because it is OBD1...A 90-91 integra will work but you will need to remoe one of the mounting legs for it to fit properly.

 

after a close examination i discovered that the previous owner only bolted down 2 of the 3 mounts and that it has two wires coming out of the top of it (black with yellow stripe, and blue) could this mean that he used a different dizzy? is it Obd0 or what? thanks for your help guys!
