Hey, any of you tired of getting riped off at CIM races? They just raised the price from 25 to 30 and lowered the jackpot from 1000 down to 500. Plus you have to pay extra to get in the jackpot. rip off!!!

 

They changed it because there going to be running diffrent classes now and paying out more to those classes which means less people in the jackpot class. As for the racing going from $25 to $40 I think it was a misprint on the website because all the CMI's I've gone to in the last two years have been $60 for both days and $40 for just the sunday. As for the cheating I don't know about that because I'm in the pits working on my car and don't concern myself with others just worry about me and my car.

 

What new catagories did they make? If you tell me they made them for the fast cars then that really sucks. It not right they give our winning momey to your fast cars at the winter warn up. the fast cars get in free at every event and get all the big money! THIS TRACK REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I have seen how A Train has been trying to get something special for the fast cars. The winter warm up has always been just a jackpot.

 

They made two classes that were in the post you refered too. Super stock & Street stock. Made for cars in the mid 12's and 13's.

Yeah, I've been to many CMI events and the $60 for both days and $40 for sunday is for all the other CMI's not winter warmup. winter warmup has always been $25. I don't worry about other people either unless their cheating-I think it'd be nice if the other racers were honest too and not cheating. not all racers cheat but a lot do.

Yeah but now there making it like the others but only 1 day with all the classes. Things change thats part of life and racing either deal with it and go enjoy the racing or don't go anymore.
Sac's not the best track but its better then not having one at all!!!!!

 

Yeah, thats what I'm gettin' at, those are the faster cars. They never have had those categories at winter warmup. so you're telling me the track did this special for you guys-like you don't already get enough. that ain't right. In my opinion whoever runs this track is a clown-they need to learn a few things.

What do you mean the fast cars, the people don't come to watch 15.5 and up from a stock civic they come to watch the cars that go 11's and faster. I have two cars that run 15's and up and I wouldn't go to watch that but 13's and better are at least something to watch IMO!!!!

 

This track really does suck. they dont treat us little guy very good. its all the little guy that makes the track all the money. Only a small amount of fast cars, but lot of slow car. I dont think i go

Nobody comes to watch the fast cars anyway--people come to race not watch--have you ever noticed that there's no one in the stands? the only people watching are those who came with racers. if I want to see some cars in the 12's and 13's I'll just stick to going on Wednesday nights when its $15 to race, not $40. There are plenty of fast evo's and wrx's that race there all the time.

hey bro it's a free country - i can say what i want-you don't have to read it. I love my honda like everyone on here. i've been reading this site for a long time and got a lot from it but i just wanted to say my opinion about this cmi racing.

I think any one that pays 40 for 3-4 time runs is crazy. thats 10 or more per run down the track!! nuts.

 

i take it you guys that are dissing the track are all from the same team??? Well i'll be at sac raceway tomorrow wit my video cam and my digi cam WATCHING all the fast cars. i havent raced at a cmi in about a year but i've been to almost all of them to watch the new fast cars out there. I think those of you bitchin about how the fast cars get more money, more runs, more classes , should stop bitching and go make your cars faster so you can be in those fast classes you hate so much....

You have missed the point completly. It's not about hatin' the fast cars, I love the fast cars. It's about how the track treats the little guy. It's about the track rippin' us off. Who ever runs the CMI is is charging big money to put in their pockets. Tell me why it's $40 to make fun runs at CMI and only $15 to race on Wed. night and you get more runs and you actually get to race. CMI is a huge rip off!! Not only do they rip us off on the price, but there is a lot cheating going on that the track does nothing about it.

 

Man jgf you have made most of your post count in this one thread and have said the same thing in every post. We get your point. You dont like the cmi races. DONT GO THEN. For most of us its better then nothing. It costs alot to put on an event. You think they just pocket all that cash? They need insurance, medical facilities on hand, and ppl to run the event. Its called inflation. Prices go up. The cheating is a different thing altogether, but you cant always have the best of everything. So please enough already.

Yes they have all the same expences. yes they just pocket the extra cash. And yes, I'm not going.
