thats strange, i did my swap and it fitted.. oh you need to take off the timing cover and unbolt the bracket that the mount goes onto, thats what you need to do! so use old mount and old engine bracket.

You can't use the hydro tranny. Even if you make custom mounts, what are you going to use to make the clutch work? There is no place on the firewall for the clutch master cylinder. The clutch pedel won't hook up to it. The biggest question is why would you want to go through all this work? Just use a D-series cable tranny.

yea i can use the hydro tranny.. im gettin pedal/master cylinder out of a newer model civic and the slave is still on the trans. the master cylinder isnt very big and you can drill a hole in the firewall and make a mounting bracket. and the reason for going hydo? cuz i very much dislike cable trannys. its not that much work.

anyway.. back to topic.. why wont the front and back mounts off of my old d15 on my new d16y8? what do i need? thanks!
