Just out of curiosity, what are those things on the 450's in the second pic on the pintles. Do you keep them on when installing them or are they there to just protect the pintle from breaking?

 

they're insulators. the injector is held in place in the intake manifold by those. they also create a seal so boot doesn't leak.

 

That plastic piece on the pintles??? They can't form a seal, they're hard plastic. The ones I have on my 450's can come off very easily, so I dont want to install them with them on... Afraid they're going to come off while in my mani.
