Default Replacing tranny with used one - should I replace input shaft bearing?

I'm replacing my tranny with a used one with 80k miles. P.O. said it was fine with no noise. Should I do the preventive thing and replace the input shaft bearing? Mainshaft bearing?

TIA

might as well, since the tranny is out.

Thanks. How many minutes should it take with the tranny on the ground?

Also, what are the "oil guides"?

the oil guide was a piece of sheet metal if i remember right that kind of sprayed oil onto the gears directly to ensure they were getting covered. but if you don't have any problems and don't disassemble the Shafts themselves an hr or so tops? im guessing high because theres a bitch of a snap ring to remove to separate the tranny housing. once that's done its a matter or cleaning the old gasket off and applying the new sealant. make sure you do a good job with that, i had a small leak on mine and eventually blew the tranny a few months later because i had no oil in it. As for the bearing removal its pretty damned easy once the case is separated.....

Edit: Check your syncros while its apart the teeth should be nice and pointy NOT round. those tend to go b4 your input shaft bearing. I would also recomend checking them all while its apart. cant hurt

If the synchros' teeth are round, how long does it take to swap new ones in?
