A while ago I posted about a weird noise my car was making. (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=88358).

Well I finally found out that its coming from my starter cut relay. It only happens sometimes and when the clutch is in (clutch switch on). I think the relay may be bad???

Anyway, can I replace it w/ a bosch relay, or do I have to get the OEM replacement?

 

I would THINK as long as the schematics match it would be o.k.

 

NM.......i tried the bosch relay. It worked, but that wasn't the problem.

This is weird as hell....the relay is opening and closing really fast, causing the buzzing.

This only happens when I start the car, and it doesn't always happen then either. As soon as I take my foot off the clutch, the buzzing stops (no power to relay), but it doesn't start again when I put my foot back on the clutch or anything.

Could it be a problem w/ the starter? Maybe a problem w/ the clutch button? Could a pinched wire somewhere cause it? This is driving me nuts. I wanna bring it into Acura, but it doesn't happen EVERY time. Plus, I know they're gunna give me **** cuz of the turbo and all the extra electronics. Even though it did it before all of that Errrrggg.
