Car is making a crazy noise when I start it in the cold. HELP!
When I start my car and the car is completely cold and its cold outside, I get this loud buzzing coming from inside my dash board. The noise sounds like its coming from to the left of the steering wheel, near the top of the dash and about 8" back. The buzzing lasts from anywhere from 1 second to 15 seconds. Once it goes away everything else seems fine.
I first noticed this on the first real cold morning after I got my alarm installed. Maybe a week or two afterwards.
I have no idea what this is. I'm going to bring it in to Acura, but it doesn't make the noise every time, so its hard to show them.
Thanks guys.

Maybe it's because it's idling higher when you start it super cold, it's vibrating more.

nah.......I've had the car for over a year and its never dont this before.......it has nothing to do w/ cold idle.
It doesn't really sound like a vibrating. a loud buzzing.

I have the same thing happen. My opinion is that it's the ABS fluid or something. Maybe the fluid is thicker or something. Me and my friend hear the same noise in our GSRS hot or cold and concluded that it was the ABS system charging. Not for sure though just an idea.
