Default oil pan question.

i have an LS in my CRX and I cracked my oil pan. I was wondering if there was a difference in GSR and LS/GS oil pans?

When in doubt and strapped for cash, weld it up. I know b16 and b18s are different, but as far as LS or GSR im not so sure.

Well they're both b18 so it shouldn't be a problem, just mainly a difference in the heads between the two motors.

I'm almost positive they are different...but not sure. Because I know when you get a GSR block girdle for and LS motor you have to switch to the GSR oil pan (along with some other stuff) so it doesn't really make sense that they'd be the same.

I cracked mine also...just have it welded

incorrect... the ls and b16 pans are the same, the gsr and type r are different in order to accommodate for the girdle. and the only difference is how deep the pan goes.
