Default Stolen...

Stolen components from my car.

I made a police report with the San Diego Police Dept. I told them that somebody had broken into my car from the passenger side door. The keyhole was enlarged. I suspect that after getting into the passenger side door, the hood was popped and the positive terminal was taken off the battery disabling my alarm. Odd that my alarm never made a sound when the door was opened.

While making the police report with the police officer over the phone, he asked if anybody I knew (who were interested in my car in anyway) where I lived, I told him no. Nobody knows about my car or where I live. He told me somebody had to. I told him I had been out of town since the beginning of this week and I had just got back yesterday. Also, while making the police report while sitting in my car, I noticed the service sheet/record from when/where I had just had an alignment done just yesterday right after coming back into town.

There was one kid there that seemed odd. Also, I had a gut-feeling yesterday that I had to be careful because I felt that something about my stuff would be stolen. Anyway, I covered my sub/box and my amplifier for the alignment process. I noticed after I got my car back that my amp was revealed.

My car was gotten into pretty easily and the alarm was bypassed like nothing. I suspect that the kid who got to work on my car yesterday, studied the car and remembered how I had everything laid out. I also think that he released the positive battery terminal yesterday so later on when he'd pop the hood it would be less time wasted on removing it so they can do the job quickly. The way everything was stolen, it was like they knew exactly what I had, where and how it was laid out, and where to go to find my car. There were like 3 other cars just like mine parked not far away and only mine was messed with.

Anyway, I called the shop and asked questions. I told him that my car had been broken into and that I had some stuff that was stolen. He told me he knew nothing about it and was positive that none of his guys would do it. He told me that it was odd when another guy there who had a hatchback like mine had his keys lost there at the shop. Nobody could find it. Later in the conversation, he asked what was stolen. He asked if they stole my CD player. It was odd how he sounded and how he said CD player, when that was one of the components that was stolen that I never mentioned. All I told him at the beginning of our conversation was that I had some stuff that was tolen from my car.

I'm not accusing anybody, but it does seem fishy there at that shop I went to over at Hanmi Auto Services.

Anyway, I've been waiting a long azz time for some police official to contact me about having the inside of my car finger printed. They told me that any finger prints outside the car don't count.

If anybody sees or hears anything about an Alpine deck, Kenwood amp, JL Audio sub/box, and amber corner lamps, let me know.

Thanks!

PS: Don't ever give out your real address for any service & if you have to give your key, give only that key but try to make sure you have sight of it as much as you can. They were able to get my real address because when I paid with credit cards, they had to see my ID which had my address on it. Bah!

have one of your friend go over there and investagate. Let him prentend looking to buy car audio stuff for his car. Then if the guy at the shop offer your friend stuff for sell then go and check it, it might be your's.

The shop I went to was an auto shop for engine and wheel service. I went there to get an alignment. I'll see what else I can do as far as that shop goes. Right now I have to fix my damaged optional audio console, wirings, and heyhole lock. I'll need new corner lamps too. I don't have my stock ones anymore. I don't even feel like putting another system into it. I might just roll on stock corner lamps and just put the stock cassette deck back in. I'm very discouraged about my car now.

First off don't let some thieving *** discourage your progress on your car.
And if you had a bad feeling about the alignment place, I bet you all he did was disconnect your siren to your alarm while he was working on it at the shop so when he did go to your house and broke into your car it would not go off.

Don't go over there and make a scene. Give it a month or so and "some how" find a way to see if your stereo wound up in his car.If it's indeed in one of the employees car proceed to get the tire iron out of your car and lay it on 'em.

Good luck man.

Whoah dude, I'm all for putting the smack down on some thieving bastards, but all that would do is get HIM in trouble. Don't get me wrong, in a situation, any of us could snap and make a bad call by proceeding to snuff the $hit out of some one that we know stole our stuff, but that could only make things worse. Verify that is your stuff, involve the authorities, and make sure you have some proof that the stuff is yours (recipts).

Now, if HE comes at ya... drop him.

I feel what your saying and on the same note you probablly have never had anything stolen from you and can't possibly understand the feeling. I was scameed for $5500 for work that was supposed to be done on my car https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1019902.

Thieves are the lowest form in my book. And a thief that steals stuff with the help of his job is even worse. They deserve no type of respect and calling the police on em is going to get him what, maybe supervision?

Break his arms and you can sleep at night knowing he won't be breaking into any more cars.

Dude, are you $hitting me? Once upon a time I've lived in Brooklyn NY, where car thefts/break-ins are as common as squirles. I've had more then one radio snagged, and when I moved out of my parents house, I had to leave my stuff in my car over night... all gone. My TV, radio, clothes, books, even a little tin can with a picture that my little brother made for me. They cleaned me out. So yes, I do know what it's like.

My ex-brother in law and I, stayed in his van a few nights, waiting for someone to break into any of the cars, we were armed with bats and all, but no one came, and I guess we were better off that way. Trust me, I know how you and every one else that had their $hit stolen feel.

Thanks for your inputs, fella's. Again, I'm not accusing anybody from the shop. Although it does seem fishy how the thieves were familiar with everything in my car. I mean, they even knew where to go for my alarm. (I won't say where I had it though, but) when I got to my car, they left the brain just sitting on top of my driver's chair. Only my car was messed with when my car was under a litted area and just about 20 feet away there were several other supped up cars that looked more fixed up than mine sitting in a dark corner/area and their cars weren't even messed with at all. As far as where the shop is located, it's located off of Mira Mar Rd. close to that pyramid-shaped building.

If it weren't anybody from that shop that stole my stuff, then I'm trying to figure if the thieves were thieves that primarily stole sound systems so it didn't matter what car they stole from which would be harder for me to find my stuff, or if they were into the imports because they stole my amber corner lamps which would help me somewhat because I would be looking for another Civic with amber corner lamps (or just any other Honda/Acura as far as my system goes). I know there is one other EH3 in my complex. I don't remember him ever having corner lamps, but I'm going to check his car out.

For the JDM meet last Sunday, I did go, but I went later when most everybody else left. There were two group of guys there by the time a few of my guys and I got there. One of the groups being from the OC. We let them hang out with us at a BBQ/kickback we had at the beach.

Today, I had a strange reason to believe that it may have been some guys who live in my complex and not anybody from that shop I went to. I kept thinking about it over and over today. I mean, I installed my system there in my parking spot which is an open area. I've installed my alarm there. I've installed my sub and everything there. And since I don't have the USDM rear interior, my sub is very easy to be seen. Also, like I been saying before that the guys who stole my stuff knew about the car as in the were very familiar with it.

Anyway, when I got home into my complex earlier today, I remembered a white hatch that lived here too and wanted to drive around the complex to see his corners and even try to see any of my stuff in his car. I didn't see that white hatch, but I did see a bluish hatch that I remembered seeing a few months ago. I guess he lived here too since he was parked in a numbered spot. When I drove by, I noticed there was some guy in the passenger door side and it seemed like he was installing something. I heard music and right away thought it might have been a sound system, but it could have been music from his car or somebody's apartment unit. I parked my car and walked around to their side of the complex and tried to get a look at his corners. They were the stock OEM ones, but I'm waiting to see if they ever change. I really want to get a look at his system, but I couldn't because the guys who owned it (white guys) were right by it talking.

This is the trippy thing. My girlfriend called me today from her work saying her mom had asked her friend (who reads cards) to see if she could find anything out. Her first reading she tried to see who did it. She said that they were 2 young white guys that lived very near us. She got the same reading 3 times. After I told my girlfriend that I had a feeling that they were some guys that lived in my complex and how I noticed that thing with that bluish hatch, she told her mom and her mom asked her friend if she could tell her what color car they might have. Her friend told her a blue car.

That's it! I'm keeping an eye on that car.

lol. I didn't actually ask for that. My girlfriend's mom did. But it was just weird how everything fit. The lady said 2 white guys with a blue car that live very near me. And earlier today, I happen to drive by 2 white guys with a blue hatch that live on the far side of the complex. I mean, the thieves that stole my system also stole my amber corner lamps like they had the same car. And everything that was stolen from my car was done clean. Deck was unplugged by harness and antenna line; no cutting or anything. Corner lamps were unscrewed and bulb sockets were unscrewed; no cutting or anything. They were familiar with it all.

When I had my Integra, my corner lamps were ripped out and my foglamps were ripped out as well. So, yeah... I dono. I just want my stuff back and I want these thieves to get hosed.
