In the US, its the Del Sol VTEC model. In Japan, its called the CR-X Del Sol SiR.

Your wrong about the engine code on the del sol vtec, My girl just got one and its def a b16a3. And hers is a 96??? Possible swap maybe&gt;!?!1

 

if she has fog lights then she has a 94-95 VTEC with a b16a3. If she doesnt have fog lights...then she has a sol that is supposed to have a b16a2...that has a b16a3 in it.

I think later year 96's got the B16A2. I too have seen some 96's with B16A3's @ a Honda dealership.

some of the pre-96's came with a B16A3, and/or aux. lights.

car years are made weird.

and my post is correct.

 

ive never heard of a 96 del sol with aux lights...and you cant even buy the bumper with aux lights under the 96 body style in the honda computer. i bought tons of parts for different del sols.

 

trust me. there were a few made.

Honda of America says that some production date 1/96 Del Sol's had the 93-95 bumpers and the VTEC's had the B16A3 engine.

uhh...even if its made in 96, doesnt mean its a 96 model...95 models were made in 96 as well. its always been that way...new releases have always came out like mid year...so a 2005 vehicle will be made through half way of 2006. my cars production date prolly was early 1995 for all i know but its a 94 car...get it? I used to install car stereos and we had this dilemma sometimes and had to go by the inside jamb date...if it was earlier that year like jan or feb..it was the previous year model's stuff on it...cause it wasnt that year model...jan 98 was a 97 model.
