Install motor with or without the intake manifold?
Ill be reinstalling my motor soon, is it easier to install it WITH or WITHOUT the intake manifold and associated hoses already attached to the head? or should install the IM afterwards? Ill be installing it from the top with a engine hoist.
Everytime that I have ever installed a motor it has been a complete motor and its very easy.
Dropping from the top or bottom doesnt matter. I like puting it in from the bottom, because I am to cheap to buy a cherry pickers haha.

I did mine with the trans on and im and all hoses connected its not really hard just have 2 or more people help you guide it in. Well at least thats what i did and did'nt run in to any major problems.
I think it is a lot easier to install it with the manifold on, than it is to put the manifold on and torque the nuts properly with the engine in the car. I installed my friends with the manifold and trans and it was no problem.

its such a pain to mess with intake manifolds when the motor is still in the car. If you drop the motor without it, you will have bloody fingers and forearms by the time it is back on.
