You could add this to an existing security system on an EF to help slow down theives. Also wrap your ignition harness in many layers of thick plastic and tape.

Dont mount the brain of the alarm under the steering wheel at all, go behind the glove box and follow factory routing under loom, with many layers of tape so it takes a while to find it, and use a diode isolated battery backup so it still goes off even if they get the hood open.

Also helps have an alarm with horn trigger, and relocate the battery inside the car.
