if you read the new issue of honda tuning, they did itbs on a sohc civic ex. the base hp for it was like 107hp, and with itbs it bumped it to 129hp! thats a huge gain. especially for a sohc, just imagine what it could do with a dohc motor.

True, they do have theire benefits, but you will need to spend a lot of time tuning with them. If you do choose to go with 'em, keep us posted. I don't know what your plans are for getting them but theres a nice write up(http://www.homemadeturbo.com/t....html) on making an ITB setup.

lol i have that episode down loaded on my comp, his car is the onoe that inspired me but i also have a same car as the one that beat him, maybe i can too lol not, but im building up that motor to drop in my current teg, ill watch the episode a few more times and try and figure out why he lost, but the looks of it, i think that the gearing in the DA's tranny is jus that lil bit shorter, cuz he was shifting before greg, if any of you kno him let him kno what im up to, maybe i can get some advice lol thanks guys

just a heads up that alot of the "bolt on" ITBs out there are modified 4ag ITBs made to fit a b-series head.

I had a friend with an all-motor 220whp CRVtec slap in a "bolt on" ITB and he ended up losing power on the dyno (not sure how much, but he sold them off and went back to his old IM setup).

The reason being:
1) throttle bodies were too small for his application
2) the angle of the throttle bodies weren't optimal for his head.

You want the right size throttle bodies and you also want to keep the air flow as straight as possible to maximize velocity. So choose wisely

I had mine custom made for my GSR head.

im building a high cr lsvtec wit itbs as we speak, im using the stock itbs off the 4AGE, (i beleive its the 52 mil...) and all that needed to be done other then some basic wiring is that there needed to be a plate fabed up to mount the 4AGE to the b16 head, u can pick up these itbs off ebay for like 200 bucks or something n theyre great

Please define fully built?
Why do you want ITBS? Just for the bling bling factor?
Why not just a good manifold and throttle body combination such as a 68mm tb and Performer X manifold?

ITBS aren't that difficult to tune anymore due to the help of modern day management systems.

^no. there is sum ITB setups that will bolt right on and the car will start right up and idle fine. (that is the expensive ones).

ITBs and the other factor (fuel) seem to be the only 2 things that can get a stock kseries over 200lbs of tq (stock NA longblock) before cams/pistons and FI etc.

with sum tuning (more air..nore fuel) they work out to be nice..theres a reason then came stock on sum performance vehicles.
