Well if you have the intercooler, it would be so much better and more reliable if you use it. I know that some kits dont come with intercoolers, but its best that you use one. How much boost are you running and what is your setup?

Like everyone else said, go with a intercooler. (more HP and better reliability).

Just some notes from what I've seen around here.
(1) Get good engine management.
(2) Get it tuned properly
(3) Don't skimp on anything. You'll rue the day if you get cheap fittings, etc.
(4) Daily driver on stock internal 7 to 8 psi max (tuned).
ZCs have relativley weak rods, if you want more, reliabily, then forged
internals/engine rebuild will be required.

Have fun

I can vouch for that and know of someone who held even to a viper doing this. Very good route to go. Just please get it tuned properly for reliability's sake.

I have a boosted zc in my car and am putting down 220ish on stock internals. I'm using a jrc 6in intercooler and running turboedit. I would use an intercooler if I was you, all that hot air can cause the car to detonate and your engine is toast.
