turbo exhaust manifold

turbo exhaust manifold

for a 3" downpipe comming from the exhaust.. does my exhaust manifold have to also be 3" or what.. can someone explain how that works

the downpipe doestn come from the exhaust...it comes off the turbine housing on the turbo and in some cases bolts right up to the cat...some instances deletes the cat....the size of the downpipe varies...and the diameter of each exhuast manifold runner doesnt really have anything to do with the down pipe...its the bolt pattern and size of the turbine housing that varies the size of the downpipe...but you can always flare it
