how do you remove climate control
Gotta remove the lower dash and glovebox to get the climate control out. You also have to remove the hazard switch and the rear defroster buttons as well.
This is all for an EK.
EDIT:
To get the lower dash out you need to remove the 3 screws from the drivers side knee area and pull the panel out. It has clips in it.
You need to remove the glovebox. It has two screws/bolts that hold it in on the bottom.
You need to remove the center lower dash peice that has 2 screws in it and the cigarette lighter. Pull the connector off of the back of the cigarette lighter.
Now pry out the two switches up top GENTLY so you don't damage the switches or the surrounding plastic.
Remove the two screws behind the switches you just pryed out.
Remove a couple screws under the middle dash area that holds the entire black surround peice for the radio/climate control.
Pull the heater control cable off of the heater core under the dash (near the passenger sides feet).
You should be able to pull a couple more screws and slide the climate control out, but don't yank too hard. You still have to remove the electrical connectors from the rear of it.
