Default c pillar bar install

I searched and read every thread on this, but im having alot of trouble. I have an 88 si, and i unbolted the seat belts, attached teh bar on one side, and bolted it down i had to remove the big washer, like an inch long, b/c i couldnt get the bolt to go in otherwise, then i went to driver side did the same, but i need about 2" more
so the bar is to short, is there another place to mount it? or should i get longer bolts, and put the washer back on?

if that bar is too short, I'm only assuming that it's the wrong bar...you sure that's made for your model car?

I had the same thing happen to me. They sent me one that was too short. I just sent it back and have to wait for a replacement.

yes the bar really does work, the link you provided off ebay is a bar that goes in between the rear hatch not the seat belts..try that
