Suggestions for chromoly cage in Western NY?
Hello. Does anyone have any suggestions for a shop that could fab a chromoly cage in Western NY? Rochester would be ideal, but Buffalo/Syracuse would be alright as well.
Thanks

I know the guys there. They definitely know their ****.
They've built a bunch of 6-second full tube-chassis cars and they're working on a tube-chassis 2JZGTE power Starlet right now. Their holiday party was pretty good too.
Is this for that EG shell you were selling?

This is for my new pushrod project, the EG shell is finally gone.
Thanks for the heads up on ProCar, I'm waiting for a call back but they seem top notch and very close.

No problem. What're you putting together as your project?

I'm in the midst of rebuilding an '87 RX7 with a Chevrolet LS1 aluminum V8 engine. Light car. Light engine. Lots of cheap hp, torque, and handling. A couple friends in Rochester have them done and I had a ride in one and drove the other...they are ridiculously fast.

I think Owen the Soyboy posted pictures on here of his. Someone else is doing an SR20DET in an RX7 like that from Rochester as well.

Owen and I are practically neighbors- I did the exhaust on his car and he is doing a bit of work on my car including machining some brackets to adapt a set of Stoptech calipers to the FC. I drove Owen's car, it has a bone stock engine, full interior and is silly fast.
If the person during the SR20 swap drove an LS1FC and saw the cost and ease of the install...I don't think there would be an SR20 swap taking place. A huge torque curve will foreve change your outlook.

Damn, this sounds like a sick project. What kind of cage would you be looking to put in? Roll bar, 6 point or something like a full 10 point cage?

The least obstructive thing that won't get me kicked off for running 10's in the quarter mile, though the car is built for road racing.
I think I need to run an 8 point though I'd like to have removable side bars for regular driving. I'll see what they have in mind.
