Default Do you think I will need a AFC?

I am getting ready to install my built Y8. It includes 10.5:1 c/r pistons, eagle rods, port and polished Y8 head, oversized valves, short ram intake, dc 4-2-1 header, catback 2 1/2" exhaust.

I have a guy off here burning me a chip for my PM6. It's a SOHC vtec rom from pgmfi.com. My question is should this run my setup ok or will I need to get a afc to tune it to get it to run right?

P.S. I will soon have a Delta 272 cam installed

With that setup you will need some sort of ems like an afc to fine tune it. Because every setup is different and one chip will not cover every different sohc vtec setup

I am saying though should the car run ok. I won't get the afc till after the breakin period if so.

The car should run fine but running a built motor untuned can be a dangerous and expensive mistake.

You should get it tuned right away before you even break it in.
