Default CATs

I have an 02 LX 2 door. Yesterday I took my cat off, not all the way. I just unscrewd it and took it off the pipe. I asked some people what they think about it and about everyone said dont get busted, its a 1750 ticket. I dont want to get busted and I REALLLLY like how my car is running w/o the cat. My 1st gear is faster and it sounds like an exhaust. Anyone know what i can do to have it off but be legit at the sametime? Someone told me something about a CAT EXHAUST.......whats that?

There is NO WAY that you will ever be legal without a CAT. I think they were talking about a CAT-BACK exhaust, which is an exhuast that hooks up to your CAT and goes all the way back to a muffler. Your best bet is to get a high flow CAT, I know that magnaflow sells one and a few other companies.
