wiring up reverse lights for auto to manual switch
I had 93 delsol si that was wrecked by a drunk driver
. Now I have a 93 s model chasis. I brought the motor and manual trans and everything else I need for it to work. The only thing is I dont know how to hook up the the reverse light wires so that they come on when I put the car in reverse. I personally dont care if the lights work or not but I live in Jersey and I have to take the car thru inspection and they wont pass me unless thos lights work. So if anybody could help me out I would be very grateful
.

this is how i done it on a ek, but i c no reason that on an eg its different....i will go over the wiring a little bit for ya:
when you remove the auto shifter....there will be this big *** plug that plugs into the auto shifter.....if u count the pins, there should be 14 of them.....number 1-7 (the top pins) and number 8-14 (the lower pins).....how do you tell which is the top/lower?....well....the number 8 pin is left blank and unused....and on pin number 10 and 11 there are these big *** black wires....
here it goes....
reverse lights:
go to pin number 3 and 4.....(number 3 should be a yellow wire, and number 4 should be a green wire with a black strip....) the is two ways you can wire this....
1) wire it stright to the reverse switch on your tranny....its a two wire plug....it should be right next to your breather thingie....u know...the nipple thing with the black rubber cap.......its on the upper/front part.... should be near your upper tranny mount area....
2)this is the one i am unsure about....because the ecu plugs on ek's is different....you might be able to work something out....this is how i did it on the ek....on ek's ecu plug B is the only found on auto civics......what you do is find the yellow and green w/ black wires from the auto shifter plug....and just connect them to the same color wires on the ecu plug B....(note: on that ecu plug there are 2 yellow wires and 2 green w/ black wires, what you do is hook up the DARKER yellow one...and right beside it, there should be a green w/ black wire....these wires are positioned near the release tab of the ecu plug)
clutch interlock switch
there is two ways of doing this too:
1)easy way....take the two big *** black wires (auto shifter plug 10 and 11)...and just hook them up together....now the clutch interlock is bypassed....just make sure you remember to step on the clutch when you start the car
2)the right way.....get some wires and hook those wires up to the clutch interlock swich on the clutch peddle bracket....
key out
In order to take your key out....u must wire this up too....on auto shifter plug number 1 there should be a black wire.....just hook it up to the green w/ white wire (forgot which auto shifter plug pin it is, but there should only be one green w/ white wire)......or just ground out the green w/ white wire....it does the same thing...
cruise
if u plan to wire up the cruise.....on auto shifter plug number 9.....it should be a pink wire.....get some extra wire.....and hook it up to the cruise switch on the clutch peddle bracket of the same color.....and just ground the other wire on the cruise switch to the body....
if u got anymore questions....just post it....hope this helps
ps....u know that you need to get a special tranny mount, or move/mod yor old tranny mount for it to work?

make it easy for you... just find the reverse switch get some bullet connectors and wire it to a 12 volt power source and then run the wires back to the reverse lights and hook it up accordingly
