Whats the difference between JDM and USDM z6 head

Default Whats the difference between JDM and USDM z6 head

bought a zc(sohc) engine and kept the usdm head for smog reasons. Anybody know the difference between the 2 heads?

"which one" what do you mean? I kept the z6 head, but what is the difference between that and the zc head?

not much. one is said to have like 5-10 more hp.....but it hasnt really been 'proven'

assuming the "JDM" one was from a manual tranny car it will have a more aggressive cam... other than that i believe they are the same!

i thought that the zc was different than a d15b and d16z6, and i do know that the d15b has the more aggresive cam

You bought a ZC and kept the USDM head...ok.... then you want to know the diference between what 2 heads??? the title says whats the dif between USDM and JDM "Z6" head...?

and is'nt the ZC a DOHC D-series?

there were three kinds of ZC's.

SOHC non-VTEC ZC
SOHC VTEC ZC
DOHC non-VTEC ZC

sorry, i guess i didn't make my self very clear. had a d16z6, spun a bearing. bought a sohc vtec zc engine. for smog reasons people reccomended that i swap the head from my busted d16 with that of the zc. the d26 had some cali smog stuff on it i could use. so i did that, but what difference is there between the sohc zc head and the d16z6 head?
