I have a 94 cx with a gsr swap and Since I installed a skunk manifold I have had vtec problems. Its weird when I start the car it wont throw a code until it gets to running temp and I hit the rpm to activate vtec. I straight wired both sensors to the ecu and it still does it. I had a d16z6 in it for 5 years and never had a problem with it. I also had the gsr swap in it for almost 6 months with no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yea, I rewired that and It is still doing it. It will work for the first tie I hit vtec and then the check eng. lights come on and it doesnt work again.
thats definitely wrong what that dude just said.
If your car is not up to temp and you hit your vtec engagement point nothing will happen, your car just wont pull hard.
Double and triple check your wiring. Take the solenoid out and test it on your battery, you should hear a click when it gets 12 volts.
If your vtec oil pressure sensor isint working it could cause this.
If you speed sensor isnt working it could cause this.
If the solenoid is bad it could cause this.

ok, I jumped the vtec solenoid and it clicked so I know it works. I repleced the cts and still the same thing. I reset the ecu, car warms up, I hit vtec once and then the light pops on and then no vtec. throws a code 21.
